It was a pleasure to have so good numbers attending the youth conference, this confirms that youth activity is of strong interest at national level. It was interesting to have youth leaders from different realities such as clubs, classes, regions, CCS, SSL, which generated a discussion from different points of view.
The insights gained from the good cooperation of the group are several: the training of coaches plays a key role in youth development; furthermore, it is important to help the different youth activity promotion bodies with guidelines. As a last but not least input, it is crucial to develop a national Breitensport concept that is related to the NWFK.
The workshops organised during the conference confirmed that the current promotion concept already offers a good basis and that the changes to be implemented are minimal but important to improve the activity in the development of the athletes.
